Glenbrittle has been a family run business for many years, it is in our blood to be animal lovers and it is a business that has a long standing history of being run by people with a pure love of animals.

We truly believe that any animal is genuinely happy when they receive the correct amount of exercise, care and attention. We have converted our large grass paddock to a fully fenced exercise area with jumps and lots of fun things for your dog to do. We have a hydrotherapy pool, that not only helps maintain their fitness and movements, but also aids in suffering as they get older. The pool also provides your dog with a fun activity that will get them working hard and tire them out.

We believe we have the finest, most spacious boarding facilities with as many home comforts as we can provide. We guarantee a fantastic stay for your loved one, and for that extra bit of peace and mind for you.
Personal Contact
Every customer has a specific carer that will look after their pet, each having a direct contact though Facebook and Instagram that can be messaged or called 24 hours a day

Collection & Delivery
Pets can be brought in or collected any time between 9:00am & 5:00pm. You will not be charged for the day, If you collect your pet before 10:00am.

How we started
Glenbrittle has been a family run business for many years, it is in our blood to be animal lovers and it is a business that has a long standing history of being run by people with a pure love of animals.
My parents moved here in 1981, and as I grew up, their passion and loving nature towards animals rubbed off on me. I first started to work in the kennels at the tender age of 13 years old and I knew I wanted this to be my future. I have watched the kennels grow over the years and it has been a great adventure.

In 1998 I had accrued 18 years of experience of working and caring for animals so when my parents retired, I took over. I have always emulated their passion and loving nature towards animals and I have delighted in increasing the facilities we offer.
Expansion
Pet Store
This started with the grand opening of our pet store in 2002. The principle behind our store is to offer food and goods at an affordable price so that your pet can be provided with good quality products, as this is not our primary business we can do this.

Hydrotherapy
I have always had dogs as my own family pet and it was about this time in 2002 when I noticed she was getting stiff through old age. I researched different ways to help keep dogs moving and how to reduce their pain in later life and it pointed towards hydrotherapy. This led to my decision in 2005 to build a Hydrotherapy Pool for dogs so that this service could be offered to a wide range of dogs, to maintain their fitness, movement and to reduce any suffering as they get older.

Luxury apartments and penthouses
With the thought of keeping dogs as comfortable as possible, we went on to extend the kennels and we built luxury apartments and penthouses so that your dog could experience comfort and be spoilt whilst they are on their holidays too. We have also revamped the normal kennels more recently in 2016 to provide the highest care possible for your pooch. This sentiment has been extended to providing the very best for your cats too and, in 2007, we upgraded our cattery as well as building purpose-built luxury apartments.

Dog training center
We are always looking at ways to improve our service to you so we have developed a very popular dog training section with a specialist Animal Behaviourist. We have 2 indoor training arenas and the floodlit fenced paddock where we carry out the training. We have extended this service to include a Behaviourist Office here on site that will offer advice and to help deal with difficult dogs.
All this is very hard work but we genuinely love our work, we have lots of energy to offer and we are always looking at ideas to make life more luxurious and great quality for your animals.
